Taylor Galleries is excited to present Nowhere, Now, Here, a new solo exhibition by artist Louise Neiland. Opening on 24 April and running through 17 May, this exhibition features a series of captivating landscapes that blur the boundaries between memory, time, and place.
Nowhere, Now, Here, explores the intangible spaces where personal experiences intersect with the external world. Neiland’s paintings do not depict specific locations but rather exist in a liminal space—a place between reality and abstraction. These works reflect fragments of landscapes that the artist has encountered over the past few years, capturing moments of transition, change, and stillness in a visual diary format.
The title of the exhibition, Nowhere, Now, Here, captures the tension within Neiland’s practice. “Nowhere” evokes a sense of the undefined, elusive, or lost, while “Now, Here” emphasizes the presence of the current moment. In these works, time is fluid; the landscapes shift between the real and the imagined, the known and the unknown.
